FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Burnett Dairy Cooperative Announces 2025 Alpha Award Winners
Grantsburg, WI — Burnett Dairy Cooperative is proud to announce the recipients of its 2025 Alpha Awards, recognizing the top five member farms for outstanding milk quality. The Alpha Award honors farms with the lowest Somatic Cell Counts (SCC)—a key indicator of excellent herd health, superior milking practices, and high-quality milk production.
“These farms represent the very best of our cooperative,” said Burnett Dairy Cooperative. “Their dedication to animal care and milk quality directly contributes to the exceptional cheese and dairy products our customers know and trust.”
The 2025 Alpha Award winners are:
1st Place: Raymond Dairy, Inc. – New Richmond, WI
95 cows | SCC: 44,000
2nd Place: H & W Soldner Farm – Turtle Lake, WI
60 cows | SCC: 46,000
3rd Place: Crisdhome Registered Holsteins – New Richmond, WI
60 cows | SCC: 72,000
4th Place: Kyle & Sara Mathison – Cumberland, WI
110 cows | SCC: 74,000
5th Place: Diamond Lake Dairy, Inc. – Siren, WI
100 cows | SCC: 81,000
Somatic Cell Counts are a critical measure of milk quality and cow health. Achieving and maintaining low SCC levels requires consistent attention to herd management, cleanliness, and proper milking protocols. The farms recognized through the Alpha Awards exemplify these best practices and set a high standard for excellence across the cooperative.
Burnett Dairy Cooperative will be showcasing the 2025 Alpha Award Winners in advertisements featured in the Burnett County Sentinel, Amery Free Press, and Baldwin Bulletin. Readers are encouraged to look for the winners highlighted in the January 13th publication of each paper.
Burnett Dairy Cooperative congratulates all of the 2025 Alpha Award recipients and thanks them for their continued commitment to excellence, animal welfare, and the cooperative tradition that has been proudly upheld for generations.
