Production Opportunities

Burnett Dairy Cooperative is currently looking to hire full-time production employees to work in various manufacturing departments of our cheese production facility. All applicants must be 18 years old to apply. Multiple positions and shifts are currently available and listed below.
Makeroom CIP Operator - AM Shift
Are you someone who takes pride in keeping things squeaky clean? Do you enjoy working behind the scenes to ensure top-quality production? If so, we’ve got the perfect role for you! As a Makeroom CIP Operator, you’ll be the hero of hygiene, making sure our cheese-making equipment is spotless and up to the highest food safety standards. From cleaning and sanitizing essential production equipment to ensuring our chemical concentrations are just right, you’ll play a key role in keeping our operations running smoothly.
What You’ll Be Doing:
🧼 Monitoring the Makeroom CIP system to ensure proper chemical concentrations
🧼 Cleaning and sanitizing pasteurizers, separators, drain tables, and more
🧼 Prepping and staging barreled chemicals for cleaning cycles
What We’re Looking For:
✔️ Attention to detail—you’ll be the expert on ensuring our equipment is spotless!
✔️ Team player mentality—you’ll work alongside great people to get the job done right
✔️ Ability to operate a forklift or hand lift (or willingness to learn if licensed)

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
💪 Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 40 lbs; occasionally up to 80 lbs
💪 Continuous standing and walking, along with long periods of monitoring equipment
💪 Occasional bending, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching
💪 Must be able to work in a hot, humid, and damp environment

⏰ Shift Hours: 7:00 am - 7:00 pm
📆 Rotational Schedule: 2 days on 2 days off, 3 days on 2 days off. This schedule includes every other weekend off, because cheese never sleeps!

Loaf Packer – 2nd Shift

What You’ll Be Doing:

We’re on the hunt for an energetic, pizza-loving team member to join our kitchen crew. Here’s what you’ll be doing:

The Details:

Maintenance Technician – PM Shift at Cady Cheese! 🧰🧀
Do you have a knack for fixing things and keeping operations running smoothly? Are you ready to put your mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills to work in a fast-paced, cheese-filled environment? If so, Cady Cheese in Wilson, WI wants YOU to join our team as a Maintenance Technician – PM Shift!
What You’ll Be Doing:
🔧 Installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production and facility equipment
🔧 Performing maintenance and repair duties on machinery, welding, electrical, fabricating, and mechanical systems
🔧 Keeping the factory and grounds in top-notch condition
🔧 Ensuring everything runs safely and efficiently using predictive and productive maintenance processes
What We’re Looking For:
✅ Technical Know-How – A degree or equivalent experience in electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, and pneumatics maintenance
✅ Hands-On Experience – Experience with CMMS, PLC programming, and computer operation
✅ Welding & Fabrication Skills – Ability to work with metal and perform necessary repairs
✅ Electronics Knowledge – Troubleshooting and repairing electronic systems
✅ Food Industry Maintenance Experience – At least two years working with food service equipment
✅ Safety First Mindset – Understanding of OSHA regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and confined space protocols
Position Details:
🕕 PM Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
📆 Rotational Schedule: 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off – every other weekend required
