Production Opportunities 🧀

Burnett Dairy Cooperative is currently looking to hire full-time production employees to work in various manufacturing departments of our cheese production facility. All applicants must be 18 years old to apply. Multiple positions and shifts are currently available and listed below.
🧀 Whey Process Operator (AM and PM Shifts)

Join the team at Burnett Dairy Cooperative as a Whey Process Operator and be a vital part of transforming our whey into top-notch, high-quality dairy products! 🧀🥛
You’ll help keep the magic flowing from pasteurizer to final product—and have a blast doing it!
🔧 What You’ll Be Rockin’ Every Shift:
✔️ Operating and monitoring whey processing equipment (pasteurizers, R.O./Polisher, U.F., and C.I.P. systems)
🧽 Cleaning silos, pumps, plates & making sure everything runs like clockwork
👀 Watching for equipment issues and jumping in when needed
🧠 Working independently and staying sharp with strong attention to detail
💥 What You Bring to the Table:
- Able to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs 💪
- Comfortable with warm work environments ☀️
- Can handle ladders, ducking under pipes, and working solo 🧗♂️
- Organized, focused, and alert for long periods of time 🧠👀
⏰ Work Schedule:
- Day Shift: 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. on a rotating schedule of 2 days on, 2 days off, followed by 3 days on, 2 days off.
- Night Shift: 6:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m. with a great 4-on/4-off rotation, giving you 4 consecutive days off every cycle.
📚 What You'll Need:
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable climbing ladders and working in an active production environment
- Ability to bend, stoop, and navigate around equipment and piping
- Willingness to work in a warm environment
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Strong focus and attention to detail while monitoring equipment
- Excellent organizational skills and commitment to quality

Makeroom Operator PM Shift

At Burnett Dairy Cooperative, the Makeroom is where all the cheesy magic happens, and we’re looking for hardworking, reliable, and motivated people to join our team as a Makeroom Operator!
If you’re someone who loves learning, growing, and being part of a tradition that goes back generations, this is your chance to play a hands-on role in crafting world-class cheese.
🔧 What you’ll do:
- Monitor the cheesemaking process (you’ll be part scientist, part cheesemaker!)
- Check temps, pH, and acid levels
- Operate production machinery
- Keep everything clean and safe through sanitation practices
💪 What it takes:
- Ability to lift up to 65 lbs
- A self-starter attitude, someone who thrives with little direction
- Comfort working in hot, humid, and damp environments (it’s all part of the cheesemaking process!)

As one of the friendly faces of Burnett Dairy, you'll do more than make deliveries—you'll build relationships with customers, provide outstanding service, and help keep our communities supplied with the products they rely on every day. 🤝
What You'll Do:
✅ Safely deliver and transport products according to established routes and schedules
✅ Provide friendly, professional customer service at every stop
✅ Ensure deliveries are completed accurately and efficiently
✅ Represent Burnett Dairy Cooperative with pride and professionalism
✅ Follow all safety regulations and company procedures
What We're Looking For:
📋 Valid Class A or Class B CDL
📋 Ability to obtain a Hazmat endorsement (if needed)
📋 Previous driving experience preferred
📋 Strong customer service and communication skills
📋 Attention to detail and commitment to safety
📋 Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently
Physical Requirements:
💪 Ability to lift up to 60 pounds occasionally
🌦️ Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
🪜 Occasionally required to climb ladders up to 30 feet off the ground
⏰ First-shift opportunity, Monday–Friday, with overtime during peak seasons
