Preparation

Step 1: Choose Your Board

  • Pick a large wooden board, marble slab, or serving platter to display all your ingredients. A flat, sturdy surface will make it easy to arrange and access all elements.

Step 2: Arrange the Cheeses

  • Cut the Wood River Creamery Original, Black Truffle, Herbes de Provence, and Triple Pepper cheeses into a mix of cubes, slices, and wedges for variety.
  • Space them out evenly around the board, placing each cheese in a different corner or section to create balance.

Step 3: Add the Meats

  • Fold Genoa Salami into small half-folds or rolls and place them near the cheese.
  • For the Spicy Capicola, lay out thin slices in overlapping rows.
  • Drape the Prosciutto into gentle folds or small piles near one of the cheeses for easy access.

Step 4: Layer the Crunch

  • Arrange the Whole Wheat Crackers with Sea Salt and Water Crackers in fan shapes or small stacks, placing them near the cheeses for easy pairing.
  • Add small handfuls of lightly salted almonds between sections of cheese and meat to add texture.

Step 5: Add Fruits and Spreads

  • Place small clusters of seedless green grapes in various spots to add freshness and color.
  • Create small piles of dried apricots and dried cherries in the remaining gaps.
  • Serve the fig spread and honey in small bowls or jars, with spoons or spreaders nearby.

Step 6: Add the Acidic Elements

  • Fill small bowls with cornichons and marinated Kalamata olives, placing them at opposite ends of the board to help cleanse the palate.

Step 7: Final Touches

  • Ensure all items are easily reachable, keeping balance and color in mind.
  • Add a few decorative sprigs of herbs or edible flowers if desired for a visual pop.

Your charcuterie board is ready to serve! Pair with a wine or craft beer, and enjoy.
