Recipe Description
Savor the fusion of sweet apricot preserves, savory smoked ham, and creamy Cady Creek Farms Colby Cheese in these Baked Ham and Colby Sliders, topped with a buttery glaze and a sprinkle of Parmesan for an unforgettable flavor explosion.
Ingredients
12 small dinner or Hawaiian rolls
1 cup apricot preserves
12 thin slices smoked deli ham
8 oz Cady Creek Farms Colby Cheese Slices
4 tablespoons butter, cubed
1 tablespoon dried minced onion
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
3/4 ounce Parmesan cheese, finely shredded (about 1/4 cup)
1 tablespoon crushed red pepper flakes, optional
Preparation
- Heat oven to 350°F.
- Slice rolls in half horizontally; remove tops.
- Place roll bottoms into a 13 x 9-inch baking pan; spread with apricot preserves.
- Layer each with one folded ham slice and ½ slice of cheese.
- Replace roll tops.
- Melt butter in a microwave-safe bowl; stir in the minced onion, Dijon mustard, salt and pepper.
- Brush mixture over roll tops.
- Sprinkle with parmesan and red pepper flakes if desired.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes or until the cheeses are melted.
Recipe Tip
Make-ahead tip: The sliders could be prepared a day ahead. Replace roll tops; cover and refrigerate overnight. Remove from refrigerator 40 minutes before baking. Follow the recipe as directed, starting with melting butter.
