Ingredients

Cheese

Meat

  • Uncured Genoa Salami (Naturalissima brand shown)
  • Calabrese Spicy Salami (Gusto brand shown)

Produce

  • Granny Smith apple slices (soak in club soda for a few minutes before plating to prevent browning)
  • Sugared cranberries (how-to here)
  • Pitted Frescatrano olives (Divina brand shown)

Crunch

  • Rosemary crackers (Rustic Bakery Sourdough Rosemary & Olive Oil Flatbread Bites)
  • Ginger biscuits (Effie’s)
  • Pistachios
  • Candied pecans (Fortune Favors brand shown)

Dip

  • Cranberry sauce (Amaretto cranberry sauce recommended)
  • Caramelized onion jam (Divina brand shown)

Garnish

  • Fresh rosemary sprigs

Sweets

  • Dark chocolate squares (Chocolove brand shown)

Preparation

  1. Prep produce: Slice Granny Smith apples and soak in club soda for 3–5 minutes to prevent browning. Pat dry before arranging. Make sugared cranberries ahead of time.
  2. Arrange cheeses: Place each Wood River Creamery Spreadable Cheddar Gruyere cheese in small serving bowls with spreading knives. Spread them evenly around the board for balance.
  3. Add meats: Fold or roll slices of salami and place them in clusters next to the cheeses.
  4. Fill with produce: Tuck in apple slices, sugared cranberries, and olives between cheese and meat sections.
  5. Layer in crunch: Add crackers, biscuits, pistachios, and candied pecans in separate piles to give guests variety.
  6. Serve dips: Place small bowls of cranberry sauce and caramelized onion jam on the board with small spoons.
  7. Finish with sweets: Break or stack dark chocolate squares in one section of the board.
  8. Garnish: Add sprigs of fresh rosemary for fragrance and a festive holiday look.
